Meditation and extended Shavasana

Presence. Stillness. Center. Awareness
75 minutes to slow down, turn inward, and rest in the present moment.
Meditation is many things.
"It" is to be found, in absolutely nothing - and everything.
Sometimes we follow the breath.
Sometimes we explore the sensations of the body.
Sometimes we journey through the chakras.
Sometimes we sit with a question, an image, or a feeling.

And sometimes there is simply silence.
In this 75-minute meditation and Shavasana class, Raven offers a space to explore different pathways into presence, awareness, and the deepest of rest.
Her teaching is informed and trained by the wisdom of Advaita Vedanta, Zen Buddhism and the Bhagavad Gita, and the teachings as well as her experience of studying, practicing, serving (Seva), and teaching at Advaita Ashram, India.
Rather than following a fixed method, each class unfolds differently. Guided meditation may draw on chakra awareness, bodily sensations, breath, energy, contemplation, visualisation, self-inquiry, or simply resting in stillness.
At the heart of these different practices is an invitation to become more intimate with the experience of being, present, here. Now.
To notice the body.
To listen to the breath.
To witness the movement of the mind and emotions.
To feel what is present without immediately needing to change it.
And, at times, to ask the deeper questions offered by the non-dual traditions:
Who am I beneath the stories I tell about myself?
What remains when I stop trying to become someone?
Who is it that is aware?
The Bhagavad Gita offers another doorway into the practice — exploring themes of presence, devotion, discernment, action without attachment to its fruits, and finding steadiness amidst the changing circumstances of life.
The teachings of awareness remind us to return again and again to the simplicity. To be here Now.
To meet ourselves and this moment with awareness, compassion, and an open heart.
And sometimes, there may be no philosophy at all.
Just the felt experience of sitting or lying down, breathing, sensing, and allowing the body and mind to rest.
During this session, Raven may invite some participants to receive gentle hands-on energetic healing. This is always completely optional and will only take place with your explicit consent. You may choose to receive or simply remain undisturbed in your own practice.
The healing is offered not as something that needs to fix you, but as an invitation to receive, soften, and allow.

Shavasana.

The final rest of the class is an extended Shavasana. An opportunity to surrender into stillness and allow the nervous system and being, to soften completely.

There is nothing you need to achieve during this class.
No particular state you need to reach.
No experience you need to have.
You simply come as you are.
Whether you are completely new to meditation or have been practising for many years, you are invited into a space where ancient teachings, embodied awareness, energy, contemplation, and deep rest can meet.
Come to slow down.
Come to listen.
Come to rest.
Come to be here now.

Kirstine Ravn

Presence. Stillness. Transformation.

Known simply as Raven, Kirstine Ravn is a meditation teacher, Yin Yoga teacher, energetic healer, retreat facilitator, and teacher trainer devoted to creating spaces where people can remember who they truly are.

Her work is rooted in the ancient wisdom traditions of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zen Buddhism, and Advaita Vedanta, gently woven together with contemporary understandings of the nervous system, embodiment, and conscious awareness.

Having trained, served (Seva), and taught at Advaita Ashrama in India, Raven's teaching is deeply influenced by the Vedic philosophy of non-duality—the recognition that beneath the constant movement of the mind exists a silent awareness that has always been whole.

Everything she offers arises from this understanding.

Not as something to achieve.

But as something to remember.
